As promised I have another card today that was done for my customer who wanted a bunch of love you/thinking of you cards on hand. This one uses a past sketch from Taylored Expressions Here is a picture of the sketch....
She requested a couple in the color scheme of Black, White and Red so I decided to use some Stampin' Up designer paper from the pack of neutrals. I love the way SU now has all their colors in designer paper....it makes it super easy to add a little design to a creation without having another other colors mixed into the design like so many other designer papers have.
I started with a card base of basic grey. I then added my designer paper which is sponged and then matted with basic black CS. White crochet ribbon was added along the bottom.
I a strip of riding hood red was then matted with some basic black CS. I used a scallop edge punch along the top of that and adhered it to the card using dimensional adhesive.
Next I punched out some naturals white squares, lightly sponged them and matted those with some black CS. Those were adhered to the strip using dimensional adhesive.
My heart image is from my SU set called I (heart) Hearts. That was inked up with riding hood red craft ink then clear embossed. I cut each one out and added a black brad to two of them. Those were each adhered to the squares using dimensional adhesive.
Lastly I stamped my greeting, which is from a $1 set from Michael's, using black craft ink. That was punched out into an oval, sponged and added to the center heart with dimensional adhesive.
The inside was kept blank per her request....I only added a strip of designer paper along the bottom.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend! :)
