Happy Early Turkey Day! I hope everyone is ready for the festivities. It will be a quiet day here in our home...just us, and I'm sure football will be on the TV. If football is on, I'll be in my craft room when not in kitchen! :P
Today I'm sharing some cards and matching boxy bags that I made for my craft fair this past month. The 2 Christmas ones sold right away but I still have the Birthday themed one so look for it on my ETSY if your interested. I love the though of not only giving someone a unique card for an occasion but to have the matching bag for their gift. These are the perfect size for candy, jewelry, a cell phone, gift card, iPod, ect....

The first one I did uses some retired DSP from SU called Christmas Cocoa. I love how this DSP has a nice velvet feel to the flourish and thought it would make a great bag. You can find the instructions to the bag here
I simply followed the instructions for my bag...heavy duty white CS was used for the bag base and of course my decorative DSP. I used my tab punch for the top opening, added some gold eyelets and some black satin ribbon.
The sentient on the front of the bag is from my SU set called Welcome Christmas. I stamped that once on white CS, then again on real red CS and clear embossed it. Those were cut out and layered together using dimensional adhesive.
Some ovals were created using my nestabilities and I added some chunky gold glitter around the per miter. That was all added to the boxy bag with some dimensional adhesive.
The card was created with all the same elements except I used a decorative white crochet ribbon instead of black satin.
The inside was finished off with a stamped sentiment and a strip of DSP to complete the look.
My next bag and card set use DSP from the same pack except this one is a gorgeous muted golden shimmer with snowflakes all over it.
I used my SU set called Snowflakes for the sentiment and added pearl accents throughout the card.
My large snowflake sizzix die as well as some snowflake nestabilities were used to created the snowflakes for the bag and card. I used shimmery CS instead of plain white to give the snowflakes that extra special touch.
The inside of this one was finished off to mimic the design on the front of the card.
Lastly I made one set Birthday themed. The DSP for these is from SU and called Just Add Cake.
Again I used heavy duty white CS for the bottom of the bag and decorated it with a cupcake image from my SU set called crazy for cupcakes.
Wild wasabi and pumpkin pie CS was used though out and white grosgrain ribbon as well.
I colored in the cupcake image with my SU markers then added some Uchida Marvy liquid applique in brown for the frosting. It's hard to see in these photos but it dried to a nice hard shiny shell that mimics the look of real frosting.
The inside was finished off by adding some DSP and a sentiment from my SU set called A Word For You.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great Thanksgiving!
