The craft fair has finally come and gone and I am so pleased with how it all turned out. I felt like I was going to go a little crazy there for a bit but I managed to have enough creations to fill up my tables and some wonderful friends to help me out on each day. I even received some orders for the future so all in all I'm happy I did it! I actually can't wait until the one next year rolls around!
I have so much to share with you that I literally could set at my computer for a week and still not post it all. Some of the stuff I still have and that will end up on my ETSY and some I sold but I still want to share some of that as well.
Today I'm sharing two chipboard notebooks I altered. I have had these chipboard notebooks for what seems like ages. I bought them from Stampin' Up! a few years ago with intentions of decorating them and just never got around to it....well this craft fair was the perfect reason and I love how they turned out.

Today I'm sharing two chipboard notebooks I altered. I have had these chipboard notebooks for what seems like ages. I bought them from Stampin' Up! a few years ago with intentions of decorating them and just never got around to it....well this craft fair was the perfect reason and I love how they turned out.
I started by covering my chipboard notebook using basic black CS. My spiral punch was used along the edge so it would fit nicely against the spiral spine.
I then used some DSP from my SU pack called newsprint. That was sponged with basic grey then matted with some cherry cobbler CS. I adhered that to my notebook using dimensional adhesive to give it some dimension.
I created a frame using nestabilities then added my sentiment. My sentiment is from a retired set called Elegant Cheer. That was stamped with black craft ink and then clear embossed. I then covered it with Tim Holtz clear crackle paint. After that dried I added that to the frame using dimensional adhesive.
Lastly I created my flower by cutting out multiple pieces and sized using my rose creations nestabilities. Each piece was sponged with cherry cobbler then I used my McGill tool kit to manipulate the paper flowers into looking more realistic. After each piece was ready I added Tim Holtz crackle and let them dry. Once dry I piece the flower layers together using crystal effects glue and a vintage brad for the center.
The leaves were created much the same way except I sponged the inside of them before popping them out of the dies.
Each leaf and flower was adhered to the notebook using crystal effects glue.
I added a piece of crochet ribbon at the spine to finish it up.
I used early espresso CS for the main color then added some retired DSP for the BG. Calypso Coral was used for the flowers. I stamped each flower layer with a polka dot stamp then sponged each one. They were also covered with crackle paint.
These were so much fun to make...although time consuming but so worth it! Now I'm on the hunt for more chipboard notebooks so I can make more! :)
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
