Enjoy a brew.....

I thought this sketch from Taylored Expressions would be perfect to use with a smaller image so I decided to make a masculine Birthday using my SU set called Cheer to You.  This card could also be for a lady...but I grew up with the men in the house drinking beer so that's what I think of when I see a mug of beer.

I started with a card base of early espresso CS. A piece of bashful blue was sponged and added for the BG.

Next I added some DSP from my pack called Spice Cake. That was matted with early espresso. I then added a strip of very vanilla Along the bottom with the sentiment stamped on it. Some brown twill was added and that was all adhered to the card using dimensional adhesive.

I stamped my beer image 3 times using early espresso craft ink and clear embossed it. That was cut into a circle using my nestabilities then matted with more mustard and early espresso.

I colored in the mugs with my watercolor crayons then stamped one more mug to be cut out and added to the center of the image with dimensional adhesive. Liquid Applique was added to the foam to give it a realistic look.

Lastly I added a button detail to the top corner.

The inside was finished off by adding some naturals ivory CS and a strip of DSP along the bottom. I then added a sentiment that is matted with a circle and oval.

This card makes me think of my dad so much that I made him one for his birthday that just passed.....he really enjoyed it.  :)
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
