Cupcake Toppers

I tried something new...at least for me...and I have to say I love how they turned out!  These were specifically made for the craft fair I was just a vendor at as kind of a test to see if there was interest in them and they were a hit to I believe I'll be making more soon for my ETSY.

I made two different styles....one more general in design and one made specifically for a birthday party.
The flower one was really easy to make, although a bit time consuming. (What in paper crafting isn't time consuming)?! LOL

I started out by cutting out all my flower shapes. Some are done with my SU flower punch called Fancy Flower and the others were done with my sizzix Bigz die called Island Floral. The leaves are also from the same die.

Each layer was sponged with rich razzleberry classic ink and then they were all crumbled up to give them a more realistic look.  I assembled together the layers with quick drying glue and glue dots. A large button was added to the center and some coordinating ribbon was added to the stick. (The stick is a candy stick I picked up in the baking section of my local craft store)

My next set of cupcake toppers are definitely more Birthday Party themed. For these I used my SU set called Create a Cupcake with the coordinating punch.

The scalloped circles were created with my nestabilities, lightly sponged and then adhered together using quick trying glue, dimensional and some glue dots. (Paper piercings were adding before adhered together)

Next I stamped my cupcake pieces using craft ink and clear embossed each piece. Those were punched out then adhered to the circle using dimensional adhesive.

Lastly I punched out mini hearts and added those to the cupcakes with glue dots. Coordinating ribbon was added to the sticks as well.

These were so much fun to make....and really the different styles are endless! I can't wait until I can find time to make some more!

Thanks for stopping by today!
