Simple Christmas cards

Thank you so much for all the lovely Birthday wishes and the well wishes for my kids. They both are on antibiotics and seem just like new. I'll be glad to finish up their medicine later this week! It's an argument with my little one every time he need to take it!

This card was created for a Christmas card workshop I had a couple of weeks ago. It's a simple, quick design to recreate and everyone seemed to like it.

I started out with a card base of basic black CS then used some sahara sand for the BG. I stamped that with my Paisley BG stamp using riding hood red ink then distressed the edges. Some black ribbon and silver cord was added to the bottom half.

Next I stamped my image from my SU called Christmas Classics with riding hood red ink onto some sahara sand CS then distress and sponged the edges. I mated that with some basic black CS then adhered that to the card with dimensionals.

This second card was another we did on that night as well. For this one I used my stamp set called Snow Swirled.

I started out with a card base of riding hood red and used strips of sage shadow and Bella Rose DP. I stamped some snowflakes on the sage shadow with chocolate chip ink that I stamped off first on some scrap CS to get a more muted look.

The Christmas tree is stamped with chocolate chip ink onto some whisper white CS then matted with chocolate chip CS. I adhered that to the card with dimensional adhesive. Lastly I stamped my greeting using chocolate chip ink and added a snowflake with a gold brad.

I used my set called A Wish For Peace for this third card. I started out with a card base of naturals vanilla CS and used some handsome hunter along the bottom. That is stamped with my Weathered BG stamp using very vanilla ink. I then added some vanilla ribbon with a hunter eyelet. (For the actual workshop my customers used a copper brad with a punched piece of hunter CS behind it for a hint of color).

The next step was to stamp my image using handsome hunter ink onto some natural ivory CS. I matted that onto some handsome hunter CS and used the corner rounder on all the corners. That is adhered to the card with dimensional adhesive.

Lastly I stamped my greeting with very vanilla ink and punched that out using my oval punch.

For my last card I went more non-traditional in colors. This one is based on a card I saw at Dawn's blog.

I started with a card base of always artichoke. I then used my Snow wheel with always artichoke ink on some whisper white CS. I sponged some pale plum ink along the edges and lightly through the middle too. Then I added some pale plum CS to the top and bottom and adhered that to the card base.

For the greeting I used my set called Best Yet with always artichoke ink and added some pale plum snowflakes from my set called Snowflakes. I matted that with some pale plum and always aritchoke CS then adhered that to the card with dimensional adhesive.

Lastly I added some paper piercings along the bottom with my mat pack.

I think everyone that night had lots of fun and I hope my next one scheduled will be just as successful.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! {SMILES}
